we are all dying silk scarf print
The following piece is a graphic consisting of images of a plastic shopping bag, and receipts, printed on 90x90cm silk. The product is a response to the consumerist situation in Qatar after the 2017 blockade. The phase “we are all dying” is rather dark and comments on the extreme nationalism and luxury that is demonstrated in almost all of the countries in the gulf region and that intensified as the blockade commenced. The phrase emphasises an end to everything that ever begun without any exceptions.
